Recycled Teak Wood Headboard Panels

This disc-shaped wall decoration is shaped and sculpted by hand from recycled teak wood. It consists of six panels to be assembled side by side or by spacing them a few centimeters apart, depending on the desired result.

This wooden disc displays the symbolism lotus flower in its center, surrounded by lush vegetation.

It can be placed above a single bed as a headboard, or above the sofa, the fireplace, or along a hallway, both indoors and outdoors. 

Meaning and Symbol of the lotus 

For many years, the lotus has always been a divine symbol in Hindu and Buddhist traditions. It symbolizes divine beauty, purity of body, speech and spirit, as it floats and flourishes above the marshy and muddy waters of attachment and desire. 

The particularity of the lotus is that the seed and the flower appear together. The symbolism of the lotus in Buddhism also relates to the simultaneity of the cause (the seed) and the effect (the flower) in the law of causality of the universe, which is one of the major concepts of Buddhist philosophy. 

The lotus draws its vital substance from the mud and then flourishes above the water. The mud represents suffering, troubles, desires, which are the very soil of our development. It is therefore possible to transform one's karma through enlightenment, the attainment of Buddhahood, thanks to our awakening to the law of causality.

Artisanal and traditional manufacturing

The Headboards are shaped, sculpted and painted by hand by artisans from Chiang-Mai in Thailand. Each headboard requires nearly 200 hours of manual labor.

The headboards are made from 100% wood. Recycled teak, noble and precious exotic wood, robust and durable, known for its quality and properties.
