Tanaka is a pair of bracelets in silver massive type adjustable closed bangle, traditionally worn on the ankles of babies in Southeast Asian countries.

Each bracelet is engraved with the iconic Lotus Flower, symbol of purity and fulfillment, accompanied by Koi carps Japanese, synonymous with bravery, of courage, perseverance andlove.

In Japanese culture, koi carp is also a symbol of virility and of strength, and a real lucky charm.

Meaning and Symbol of the lotus 

For many years, the lotus has always been a divine symbol in Hindu and Buddhist traditions. It symbolizes divine beauty, purity of body, speech and spirit, as it floats and flourishes above the marshy and muddy waters of attachment and desire. 

The particularity of the lotus is that the seed and the flower appear together. The symbolism of the lotus in Buddhism also relates to the simultaneity of the cause (the seed) and the effect (the flower) in the law of causality of the universe, which is one of the major concepts of Buddhist philosophy. 

The lotus draws its vital substance from the mud and then flourishes above the water. The mud represents suffering, troubles, desires, which are the very soil of our development. It is therefore possible to transform one's karma through enlightenment, the attainment of Buddhahood, thanks to our awakening to the law of causality.
